Our Mission
The goal of the Academy of Health Sciences is to provide students with a rigorous, engaging, and work-based curriculum that prepares students for and exposes students to the demands and rewards of a career in the biomedical and health sciences. In all of our students, we aim to promote a sense of responsibility to improve the health and quality of life for the Oak Cliff community and beyond.
Our Vision
As one of the first health sciences academies in Dallas, it is our ambition to become a model for the Dallas Independent School District and elsewhere. We hope to build and strengthen relationships with community health providers and higher education institutions to afford the best possible opportunities for learning and mentorship for all of our students. Our goal is to hold students to high levels of accountability and to best prepare students with the knowledge, habits and skills that will allow them to embark on even greater university and career endeavors.
